April 6th thru April 13th - Pause and Catch Up

Dear Maritime Families, Cadets and Staff:

From April 6th to April 13th, 2020, we will pause to reflect and catch up on any assignments and work; no new assignments will be posted.  The remote learning assignments and programs that will be used beginning Tuesday, April 14th, will be communicated via Google classroom to the cadets and through communication from CEO, Mr. Mattioni, via posting on the school website.

Free Internet For Remote Learning

Maritime Families:  Now that the school closure has been extended by at least one week, it is imperative that all cadets be able to participate in our remote learning.  If you do not have internet access at home, then you can look into Internet Essentials through Comcast.  They are currently offering two months of free internet.  You can find a link below or you can call 1-855-846-8376.

Updated School Closure Information

The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) announced yesterday that all Pennsylvania schools, including Maritime Academy Charter School, will remain CLOSED through at least April 6, 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 response efforts. 

MACS will continue with remote learning and "grab and go" meals.

Highest Four Year Improvement - College and Career Readiness

Congratulations to Principal Lucy Feria, Assistant Principal Matthew Wilson, Counselor Aimee Bogan and all teachers and staff in being awarded this prestigious recognition by the School District of Philadelphia!

EXCITING NEWS - OUR SCHOOL IS EXPANDING!

The Maritime Academy Charter School has openings available in grades 1 thru 12.  MACS provides students an academic program with the special theme of maritime studies.  MACS students work with the latest technology to learn maritime content while achieving high standards in English, mathematics, science, social studies and arts.  MACS offers varsity sports, including basketball, softball, baseball, volleyball and track.
